WASTC Faculty Development Week

This is the second of two 2018 Faculty Development Weeks organized by the Western Academy Support and Training Center (WASTC), held at Coastline Community College south of Los Angeles. The first one is being held a week earlier in Northern California.


Faculty Development Weeks (FDWs) are tailored for Information Communications Technologies (ICT) educators from high schools, community colleges, and universities throughout California. All ICT educators are welcome, and workshops are not confined to Cisco curriculum and content.


Educators pay $100 to participate, attending one week-long workshop per FDW. The following workshops are planned for the Coastline Community College FDW:

  • CCNA R&S, Instructor Training
  • CyberPatriot Coach's Workshop
  • IT Essentials, Instructor Training
  • Ethical Hacking [ITIS-164] & CompTIA Penn Test+
  • NETLAB+ Custom Pods and Labs
  • IoT Fundamentals Connecting Things, Instructor Class
  • Penetration Testing with Kali Linux
  • DevNet: Jumpstart your Network Programmability Journey!
