CyberWatch West educational members can now apply for travel stipends to support their attendance of the 2017 Community College Cyber Summit (3CS), being held June 28-30 just outside Washington, D.C.
The three-day conference offers workshops and presentations for educators in three main tracks: Track 1, for colleges and faculty that are new to cybersecurity; Track 2, for faculty already working on cybersecurity workforce development and/or pursuing the CAE designation; and Track 3, which focuses on the incorporation of cybersecurity principles, safe practices, and hands-on skills in diverse fields across the curriculum, including health, finance, education, energy, and manufacturing.
Students studying cybersecurity can register to participate in a pre-summit job fair on Wednesday morning, June 28, 9 to 11:30 a.m., and attend Track 4 presentations that afternoon.
Ten travel stipends of approximately $1500 each (may vary according to applicant need) will be awarded to faculty members or instructors employed by CyberWatch West member institutions. To be considered, please complete and submit the online form below, before the end of the day on Wednesday, March 15, 2017.
Applicants will be notified by approximately March 28 whether or not they will receive a stipend. It's recommended that everyone planning to attend 3CS register on or before March 31, in order to receive the early bird discount.
